ChocLit Competition Success

I'm letting the Indoor Writer have some blog space in the hope she will stop going on about this... Yesterday she learned her story 'Phoenix and Marilyn' won the ChocLit Summer Short Story Competition. It's a good prize and rumour has it she's also won chocolate (another reason for giving her airspace...). You can read the winning story here. It's a bit soppy, but hopefully is a story with a heart. Shows she's just an old romantic underneath all that literary pretense.

    1. Thanks Wendy I really appreciate that :) Funnily enough (and don't tell anyone), but the first choclit competition I didn't get anywhere and then entered the same story for Steyning and it won...just shows the importance of never binning anything!

  6. Thanks Helen - I really appreciate this coming from such a successful short story writer! The winning tin of Heroes chocolates turned up today as well, but I think these will have to be hidden until Xmas!
