3 drabbles (100 words exactly) ready for Reader's Digest 100 word story competition
December I'll be working on some of these flash stories and taking time out to catch up on reading. Currently, I'm enjoying Melanie Whipman's new collection Llama Sutra. I hope she'll be on the blog in the New Year to talk about her writing and the collection.
Did you set yourself a NaNoWriMo writing challenge for November? How did you get on?
Well done, Tracy. I should have a couple of days off, now!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julia! Yes, I definitely will :)
DeleteA story in 11 words - how is that even possible! Your flash challenge was a brilliant achievement.
ReplyDeleteAh well remember Hemingway wrote a 6 word story, Wendy. It was a fun challenge too:)
DeleteThat's an amazing achievement, Tracy and congratulations on your successes. What a lovely stock to have ready for more competitions and also maybe some to expand as well. xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joanna. It does feel good to suddenly have 30 new stories to play with!
DeleteAlso, LitPig has deserved a rest, but now November is over, it's probably time to get crackling...
ReplyDeleteGr-oooannn!
DeleteCongratulations, Tracy:). An amazing achievement.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant achievement, Tracy - well done on the successes! I haven't done any challenges (even my own) but I did get my new book out!
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant idea, Tracy. Good luck with expanding them. I once did a new first line every day for 100 days. I don't think many of them turned into full-blown stories.
ReplyDeleteI like the challenge of a new first line every day, Keith. Would be interesting to also try a last line - then try to join them up.
DeleteAnother good idea, Tracy. I might try that.
